Howdy All!!

We have not seen much of each other over the past few months, we wanted to give an update on what your board has been up to.
Cindy Groom has been putting in the hours filling out the application for the All Trails Stewards Fund grant to help pay for the work at Jake and Bull trail system.
Joan Grant works with the friends of Watson Mills group while being active on the board for CTHA she is also a board member of Watson Mills Friends group, helping to organize workdays and keep the equestrian trails open for all equestrians.
Erma McClain is working with Friends of Don Carter group, we have solicited volunteers to help replace boards on three equestrian bridges this far, we will be resuming work on the remaining 3 in October. CTHA has also donated funds to help pay for the lumber.

In case you missed the fun days, In March CTHA had our St. Patrick's Day ride at Don Carter State Park, the park staff members were all invited to join us for lunch. The ride was followed by a corn beef lunch and some fun conversations. It was a beautiful day to ride.
In April CTHA hosted an easter egg hunt at Trahlyta Farm in Dahlonega GA many participated and enjoyed the day with us, lunch was provided, and prizes were donated by Maxine Rider.
May. Due to wet conditions, our May 17 Poker Ride was postponed to protect the trails and for safety of horses and riders.
June CTHA hosted a fun horse show held at Trahlyta Farms it was an exciting day there. We had show events in the morning and fun events in the afternoon. There were 10 children that participated plus several adults, some children were so excited receiving ribbons for the first time, Jodie Boyd again volunteered her services as our judge, we also gained new members. Feels great to be a part of those moments!!

Our next event is our Membership Appreciation/Annual Picnic on August 23, 2025, we hope to see you there and when you get a minute check out the pictures posted on our website: ride-ctha.org
